Pat + Lilly - The Substation, Melbourne

Pat + Lily were married at the same church were Pat’s parents had married decades earlier, which I think sets a tone for how much value they place on the integral role their families play in their life. I also have to mention Andre, the couples German Shepard/ Fur baby who totally stole my heart.

After over a decade together their lives are already intertwined and they share so much together. Before the big day Lily had warned me that Pat was not exactly ‘excited’ about the idea of having his photo taken but I laughed saying I reckon 80% of my grooms say the xact same thing. It really warmed my heart the next day when I got beautiful message from Lily, who is the sweetest soul your ever going to meet saying that they were blown away by their photos but also that Pat LOVED having his photo taken. High fives all around!

There was one special moment on the day that really melted my heart, Lily’s father had passed away a few years earlier and she had decided she would walk herself down the aisle. She made it a few steps into the Church and Pat knowing how hard that walk would be for her ran down took her hand and walked by her side to the alter. Such perfection you couldn’t plan it.

Later in the night at the reception at The Substation which was filled with the most amazing florals from Pomp and Splendor Pat and some family had one other surprise in stall for Lily, her wedding song would be performed by the original artist Lior alongside her sister. Her reaction was priceless.
